Peafowl's call vs Cat's call
Our only neighbors were the Peafowls and other
garden birds who live around the layout and wilderness behind our house. This
was a great opportunity for the human shy peafowls to freely explore our layout
both in the daytime and at nightfall. Also making some of the huge trees as their habitats.
At
one nightfall, peafowls sleep spread out in their habitats (which surrounds my
house). One has a wake-up and alarm calls around 4am of loud "Kiyoo
Kiyoo" (sounds like loud "Meow Meow" ) where other peafowls
respond to it from different directions.
A stray cat strolling in our garden in darkness gets excited and responds with a soft and confused “Meow”. It was wondering if the sound was made by another cat.
The alarm calls by the peafowls became a habit every nightfall. One night, the stray cat in our garden suddenly got excited and fled meowing loudly towards the direction of the calls expecting to see another cat. It would be a big shock for it to see the caller is not “another cat” but a big bird thrice its size.😁
Nice one
